Downhill Volcano Cycling Adventure

Bike through a little slice of heaven on this tour, which takes you all the way from the top of Haleakala Crater to Paia Town by the sea. You'll be picked up at your hotel and, after a continental breakfast, whisked to the top of Haleakala by luxury tour bus, to see the sunrise and get a guided tour of the crater. Then climb on a comfy custom-built cruiser bike for an exciting ride down from sixty five hundred feet to sea level.

It takes experience to be one of Cruiser Phil's Volcano Riders. If you've ridden a bike in the last twelve months, though, you're good to go, and no one who can ride a bike should miss the spectacular views you'll see on your winding descent from Haleakala, the House of the Sun. The aptly named Sunrise Tour gets you up early, but will repay your early rising amply as you watch the sun come up from your perch at 10,023 feet above sea level. And you'll be all set to go, as this tour provides you with your bike, helmet, a wind suit, warm gloves, and a slick bomber jacket. You'll be the best-dressed cyclist with the best view on Maui!

You'll see verdant pastures, pineapple and sugar cane fields, the town of Makawao-known for it's annual rodeo-on your way from the crater to Paia, the historic former capital of Maui. And of course you'll have fabulous ocean and island views. This is certainly a trip worth getting up early for!
