This tour will take you to Haleakala Crater, a reminder of the volcanoes that made up the island of Maui. The once towering volcanoes have spent extinction eroding away in the rain, wind, and streams. What are left are natural wonders such as Haleakala Crater. Haleakala is quite diverse in its landscape. At its highest elevation, Haleakala is mostly barren, made up of grey volcanic rocks and few plants. Farther down the slopes of Haleakala Crater is a lush landscape of shrubs and grasses indigenous to the island. Rainforests occupy other slopes of the Haleakala, full of ohi'a trees. Yet another side is home to dry forests, where browsing animals and fires have taken their toll.

Next you will fly over Oheo Gulch, home to a series of tranquil pools and waterfalls. The Pipiwai Stream feeds the pools and waterfalls from two miles inland, and the water lazily follows the path into the sea. This spot is often teeming with tourists, but you will get a clear view of everything from the air-conditioned comfort of our helicopter. We will also take you over the quaint town of Hana, home to beautiful Homoa Beach. From the air, you will see Hana's magnificent rainforests and the rugged shoreline along the northeast edge of Maui.
