Horseback Riding Tour

Hawaii has a rich history, and continues to pass on its narratives through oral traditions and chants. On this exciting tour, you'll learn some basic words of the native language, and you'll get a brief history lesson, dating back to the Hawaiian ancestors. The Alaka'I (guides) are engaging storytellers and are true natives of the island. Their family history in Hawaii dates back for centuries, and they can tell you all kinds of interesting tales about the land and the culture of their Hawaiian ancestors, who first started so many of the island traditions. Meanwhile, you'll be enjoying the scenic countryside of Maui as you ride on top of your own horse, matched to your size and riding level. All riders will meet at the Maui Stables for refreshments and a training session on how to use the equipment and communicate with your horse. Tours are led by an experienced tour leader and an apprentice, who will recite a traditional Hawaiian prayer before the tour begins.

Whether you're an expert rider or a novice, we can accommodate you with the horse that suits you and the equipment you need. All of our horses are friendly and gentle and ready to take you on an enchanting journey through the rolling hills and lush greenery of Maui. All you need to do is sit back, enjoy the ride, and listen to some of the meat stories and traditions of the Hawaiian Islands.
