Molokini Scuba Dive

Hawaii has long been celebrated for its excellent scuba diving. A large variety of marine life, including spinner dolphins, humpback whales, green sea turtles, reef sharks, and all varieties of tropical fish inhabit these warm, blue waters. Located two and a half miles off the southern coast of Maui, Molokini is the ideal location for scuba divers with all levels of experience. Once an active volcano, Molokini is now a state marine life and bird conservation district. Its semi-circular shape provides protection from large waves and strong currents, making the water inside the crater calm and safe. The walls of this crater drop to depths of up to three hundred feet and allow clear visibility for up to one hundred and fifty feet, so you'll be sure to see the many varieties of marine life that inhabit this area. In fact, Molokini is a popular spot for about two hundred and fifty species of fish. Some of these species are so rare that Molokini is the only place they have been spotted.
